Having spent a considerable time pre-entering all driver information before the trip, so that we could use the Alamo kiosk, we then had to re-enter everything at the kiosk when we arrived at Orlando. To make matters worse, after 15 mins of re-entering the details, it then said it couldn't process the rental and that we would have to go to the desk. We therefore had to join the que behind all the other people who had joined in the 15 minutes that we had wasted trying to use the kiosk. Also, the rental car that we had for the three weeks, (Chevrolet Traverse), had no remote control to unlock the vehicle or deactivate the alarm. Therefore, every time I opened the vehicle, the alarm sounded until I started the engine. I called your breakdown/support service to query this and they stated that the car is specifically set up to operate in this way, which seems ridiculous. We will soon be booking a rental car for our three week vacation next October, but as things stand at present, I will be returning to Dollar, who I had used every year prior to using yourselves.

I have 2 issues. 1 - I opted for the return full fuel option but was told at the counter that this was not the case and that taking their fuel would be cheaper. I had to insist that I wanted my chosen option. 2 - I used the counter as the kiosk did not work after 3 attempts.

more staff needed on desk at busy periods. Waiting in line for an hour after a 9 hour flight was not welcome.

The car itself was absolutely fine and couldn't have asked for better. The only thing I would complain about is the Alamo adviser at the airport who was desperately trying to get me to upgrade and take out extra cover on the car when she could see in front of her that I already had all the cover that she was trying to sell me!! After realising I wasn't going to buy it, she couldn't get rid of me quick enough.

First time we have used US Car Hire. Will definitely use you again. Website very easy to use. Advised us to use Alamo Kiosks to avoid any queues. This helped us to get our car and get away from the airport faster than ever before. Alamo staff were also very helpful. Never been to a better airport than Tampa.

Arriving at 1am after a long day, Alamo initially said they had no Intermed SUV, and so would give us an upgrade for 1 day, after which we would have to return to airport to change it. We said no to this, and very quickly they gave us the upgrade FOC for the duration of the trip. We liked it so much, that we will probably book the larger car next time.
