Great service as usual. Only 2 cars available in full size category one had stained seats the other smelt of smoke. No problem the guy went and got us a jeep.. Perfect !

The website was great, any queries you responded to straight away. When we arrived in Orlando, the person on the desk convinced us that we would be better off with an 8 seater that had enough space for our luggage, would be more comfortable to travel around in and be more fuel efficient - it would only cost ??? more which would be about what we would use in fuel in a minibus. We struggled getting our luggage in when we picked the car up - a 7 seater - and asked for the minibus we had originally ordered only to be told they didn't have one and it was this or nothing. We made the best of it. Yes the car was more comfortable probably than a minibus when we didn't have the luggage, but it was a tight squeeze for when we travelled at other times. Customer service at the airport when we were tired could definitely be improved on.

Use of website, ease of booking, price and everything else to do with US Car Hire a definite 5 star experience. Gave only 4 stars overall due to poor availability of Alamo cars to chose from at the airport (as compared to normal)- but in fairness, I suppose it was a peak period!

The rental was with Alamo and the cars were overbooked, there were no cars, I rented and prepaid a 7 seater passenger van and they had no van. They offered a midsize and sent all of the other renters to write yourself on a list with a very rude person that was yelling at everyone. We had to wait over 2 hours in the cold and with a baby to get the car we needed. We finally got it and it had a horrible stench, they didnt clean it. Anyway, Alamo didnt affect our vacation...even though the service was terrible.

Simple booking process worked well. Your advice about avoiding unnecessary upgrades was totally correct & we received a great car despite the agent trying to get us to upgrade.

US Car Hire has been a great experience and everything went smooth. I really appreciated the clarity and tips provided in order to avoid last minute traps from the renter (i.e. additional optional insurances or fuel charge) As usual the booked car was not ready and available but this is a rental company issue. Being able to use the 'Save Time' kiosk saved us probably an hour judging by the size of the queue waiting for the Alamo desk. Being able to find our booking and then simply collecting our keys from the car was a great time-saver and would definitely do it again. Being able to pay for a tank of fuel upfront and then bring the car back without refuelling was also helpful.
