The van was a little more basic then before - but that could have been my fault as I picked it from the car park. The Town & Country has a higher spec level. Will book again though

7 Seater Passenger Van (MVAR) Fort Myers Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) on 05 Apr 2014 Customer rating: Customer name: Name withheld by request Vehicle supplied: Dodge Grand Caravan Book a car at this location The rental was great, the only downside was despite registering for the Self Service kiosk when I went to use the machine in RSW there was no scanning facility for the booking reference and I also had to re-key nearly all the information. Not sure if this is a problem at Alamo end....and is by no means a criticism of US CAR HIRE :)

The price quoted is the price you pay and nothing more. On my recent trip i went with a friend and he got his own car from a different website it was £100 cheaper than the one i booked but when he picked it up he had an additional $333 to pay.

The car was super and when we managed to get the online check-in done at the Airport, the process was very smooth. Dropping the car back was effortless as well. The only issue I had is that we had to re-enter a lot of details at the online kiosk at the airport, having already input this information online before we went.

Our group was hiring 2 cars (twinned with booking ref 61383984) and the kiosk check-in could not accommodate us given that we were adding the same drivers to both cars. We had entered all of the relevant details via Alamo website prior to our trip. Nothwithstanding the issues with 2 cars, the fact that you enter all of the additional driver details etc. via the Alamo website and are then required to do so again at the kiosk is very unhelpful. Previous experiences of Dollar check-in (for cars booked through uscarhire.com) were much better.
