The car we received had not been properly valeted and as such had a smell of dog/something animal like about it. Q. Why did we accept it? Answer: It was the only car in the row that was truely fullsize and we'd left the garage before we really noticed it. An additional problem was the method of locking the car. Only the drivers door would lock with the key. Inorder to lock all doors I had to click an internal button on the door and shut the driver's door thus locking all the doors. Again we didn't notice this until we came to lock the car at our accommodation. I think most people would agree that a lock out situation could have easily happened. I've driven a lot of rental vehicles and have never had to resort to such a method. They're usually central locking either on the key or clicker. Then to top it off we made the mistake of returning the vehicle a few minutes late only to be automatically charged for an extra hour. I guess it 's a case of buyer (renter) beware.

The mini-van was ok. However the rental via Alamo kiosk did not go smooth. At the end of the transaction the system bumped me out. I had to go to Customer service for help.

Very good, Using the fast way machine was an experience, after having put all the information on line, then having to do it again was a pain. The vehicle and service from the people on site was very good. May I make a suggestion,WHY NOT HAVE A FAMILY LOYALY ACCOUNT. My family travel to Florida 6 + times a year, we have to hire a vehicle, how good it would be, if I or other members of my family knew that we could contact your company, knowing we would get a loyaly discount on every trip,the more we use your company, the better the deal. In the last 8 weeks, 3 of my family have flown out to Florida, we all use different car hire companies, as we are all looking for a good deal.

The whole experience was excellent as usual. The site is easy to negotiate and follow. Would also like to say a big thank you to Alamo staff. We unfortunately left a set of golf clubs in the car but when we realised the staff were great, assuring us they had been found and locked away until we could pick them up which we did the next day.
