The only one criticism is with check in at the Alamo desk....too few Alamo people. It took well over an hour to queue. First tried the quick checking kiosk ... failed to understand UK drivers licences...which put me further back in the queue. Will definitely use uscarhire to book a rental again but will never choose Alamo as the car rental agency....i prefer to pay more and pick Dollar (which had no queue).

The process for collecting and driving off in your hire car is very slick and simple. Would always recommend US Car Hire & Alamo after our experience. The Toyota Sienna was perfect for our family. 6 people, all of our luggage and a mobility scooter all travelled with no space issues. The vehicle could have been a little 'neater' though. Every exterior panel was scratched and/or dented, and the radio aerial was missing.

Good hire. The quick registration voucher was not valid for quick registration so we had to wait in the 'normal' queue which went incredibly slowly. A 40 minute wait to get to the desk. Apart from that, happy.

the automatic check in didnt work so a bit of a queue but the guy at the desk was helpful and efficent and the guy organising the car allocation was excellant and very helpfull ensuring the most suitable car was allocated from the range

The rental itself was fine and the car was exactly what we wanted and had ordered if a little larger than our expectations.However the engine oil almost ran out and had to be topped up-indicating poor pre-rental preparation. More annoying though was the Alamo reps attitude when picking the car up. He tried to "upgrade" us to the exact type of car we had ordered and paid for at an additional cost of $800. He became upset when we refused and there was a heated discussion before we persuaded him we did not want the upgrade-all we needed was the type of car we had ordered. We spoke to other UK visitors who had actually paid a lot of money for upgrades they did not need and were very unhappy.Seemed to be a blatant and unsatisfactory attempt to earn extra commission! Almost ruined the start of our holiday!
