From booking car to rental, everything ran very smoothly. At Miami we were given free upgrade,hence the reason I use Alamo! Once again, delighted with car rental and plan to use US Car Hire in 2013!

Pre-paid 3MTHS in advance for a Luxury Escolade SUV vehicle. Upon collection was informed there were NO Luxury SUV's available...... A premium SUV was issued and whilst upset such advance notice did not guarantee our selected vehicle we were assured the difference would be refunded without delay!!!. Ok the vehicle met our space requrements. Fine. however, it is now 6 weeks later and no refund for the difference that was PRE-PAID to Alamo 3mths in advance.. To say I am upset with this is an understatement. A warning to all future customers.. DO NOT USE ALAMO!!!!! or any company that reccomends them! Will i ever use US CAR HIRE again? Absolutely not!!!! Buyer be warned.

Hi The clerk at the alamo office at miami told me lies in order to make force to pay more and get an upgrae fortunately I did not pay attention and I have gotten the car that I have made the reservation. The clerk told me there are not cars on my paid category or lower so I had to pay more. Never pay attention to the lies the car rentals tell you in order to steal your money. Us car hire is very good to get your rental car. i am very happy using their service, web site and great prices. Francisco Correa

The only let down was the fast track pick up that did not work , so had to cue and visit the desk and go through all the up sell trys before being able to get keys for car, not what you want after a long flight. Other than that it was a 5 experience.

Absolutely superb & efficient service, as usual. Refreshing honesty with prices - no attempt whatsoever to hide or drip feed essential add-on's. Always been able to arrange rental at very short notice for me. On top of all this they are also the most competitively priced car rental company I've found. Thus, this is why I've been using them frequently each year since 2002. I saw they were asking for feedback and I've used this as an opportunity to say 'Thank you'. (First time I've ever responded to such a request)

It was a bit of a nightmare to be honest. Firstly I got talked into an "upgrade", which was a complete waste of money as the car I ended up with (a BMW X5) was in many ways inferior to what I would normally get as a Luxury 4 door (something like a Cadillac DTS). It barely lived up to the billing of SUV and two of what I would consider to be "luxury" features (the Satnav and bluetooth phone) were disabled. Rubbish. The aircon was feeble and I found the controls to be counter intuitive and confusing. Like, push the gear selector forward for reverse and pull it back for drive. Certainly put me off buying one in the UK that's for sure. And then I found that Alamo had hit my credit card with a charge for the whole rental for two weeks, in addition to the upgrade charge, hence almost maxing out my card. This came close to ruining my holiday as the process to get the transaction cancelled consumed numerous emails and telephone calls to the Alamo and my credit card company and in fact is still not completely resolved now. Alamo tried quite hard to sort this out but they really shouldn't have hit my card for over $800 in the first place. So not a wonderful experience I'm afraid.

Very smooth booking process from start to finish. We arrived at Sanford walked into the Alamo office and were on our way within minutes. We walked to the parking lot and had a great selection of 7 Seater vans all with less than 5000 miles on the clock. Will be using US CAR HIRE site again.

Had no real problems, just chose the wrong car because a. I did not realize how small the boot was and b. we had a 7 hour delay and just wanted to get to the accommodation quickly. The Alamo quick check-in kiosk was a waste of time.

The car hire experience with yourselves was fine ; with Alamo less so as I have explained in the e mail I sent you . There is little point in going over the problems we had but we would like a response at some stage to the points we raised .

Booked a mid size SUV with Alamo. We had a car in the same group last year with Dollar and had a Ford Escape, despite some negative comments from others we actually liked the car and would have been happy with another one. Didn't attempt to use the kiosks as we have never been successful in the past, but the line was short and we were soon at the desk. We had chosen the gold option and enhanced road side assistance and we're not given any "hard sell" to upgrade or include any additional cover. We were directed to the aisle with the mid size SUV's and had the choice between a Chevy , a Jeep, or the Hyudai Santa Fe . We had a bad experience with a Jeep from Miami some years ago ( dirty,smelled of smoke and drank petrol). We chose the Hyundai as it had a good boot. We didn't realise until we were a few miles in to the journey that the car was brand new, only 7 miles on the clock!! It was a lovely car, great all round visibility, an easy drive and did about 27 miles to the gallon. We returned to the airport twice, once to Tampa and once to Orlando to pick up additional members of our party. Adding them as drivers was a quick and easy process. Great service from US Car Hire and from Alamo. Brilliant car, very happy!
