We tried to use the automatic machine for our rental and after wasting loads of tiem we needed to go to a desk. The man at the desk told us that the machines only work for US residents. If he's right you should make that clearer. Apart from that, very happy.

On arrival at Sanford, everything was in order at the Alamo office and we picked our vehicle up straightaway. On returning to Sanford at the end of our holiday, our vehicle was checked by an Alamo staff member and we then merely had to park it up. This was by far our easiest car hire experience to date. Can thoroughly recommend US Car Hire and would definitely use again.

From Alaom - no mid - SUV's available so upgraded free of charge - Alamo express kiosk worked just fine for us...

After the first week the oil change light came on, we reported it to Alamo and they don't worry. Then the tire pressure light came on, so we took it back to the airport and exchanged it for a Dodge which only had 900 miles on it and was a much better car. Alamo were good when we took the Jeep back, but I have to wonder if they should have rented it out in the first place.

The guy at the Alamo desk SanFrancisco airport where we collected the car was excellent. We were allowed to choose which car we wanted from the ones available so that was also very good. The car itself performed well over the time we had it - we would definitely use this site again.

Book a car at this location Everything was ok, except for the Alamo express check-in machine, it didn't work, but there was a short queueu. I didn;t take al the extra they offered, because US carhire warned me for this, everything was already included.

When I called Alamo to explain this I was expected to make my way to an Alamo outlet to pick up another GPS - this was not very easy given the GPS I had was not working! You should go to the customer in this type of situation. The car inside was in poor condition worn carpets and scratches on the dashboard etc.

We booked a Midsize SUV, and were told we would be getting a Toyota RAV 4. However when we got to the parking garage, there were not even any Toyotas parked! Shoddy, underhand sales practise. Good handback procedures though.

The only thing was that the airconditioning didn't cool the car thoroughly, so sitting in the back could get a little uncomfortable. (summer 2012!!)
