Hoped to use the stand alone booths but were advised they were for US and Candian drivers only. Usual Rep trying to get you to upgrade, when what we had booked was more than sufficient. Rep also tried to get us to take breakdown assistance which we had already booked through US Car Hire. However, no problems with the car.

No air conditioning working in car, had to sit with my father in his hired car (which leaked) most of the time I was unable to interrupt my holiday to make a 2 and a half hour round trip to return the car. The sales adviser was forceful and mis-sold my father a breakdown policy which was already included in his Gold policy. This was nasty as the agent knew fully that my father was covered and argued the fact that he needed further cover which was untrue. I will not recommend nor use your company again. We have been in the US and used different car hire companys' however your company is the worst and not just with hard selling, forceful agents but one car leaked and the other car the air conditioning did not work . Not a good advert for your company

Hi, everything was great with us car hires side,but at tampa airport the Alamo staff were rude.They were trying to sell us thing we already had plus kept saying we should not book with third partys like us car hire.they were poor.thanks again us care hire.

I found US car hire very efficient and competitive in their pricing also kept me updated constantly throughout my booking. The only problem i had was with the Alamo self service kiosk at Atlanta airport which refused to issue a vehicle to me even though i had pre registered on their website and i had to then line up in a long line to see a counter agent who then preceded to try and up sell me a larger vehicle and breakdown cover etc. I appreciate that this is not a uscarhire problem however there are assurances on the website that this kiosk would work for Irish driving license holders. This was frustrating after a nine hour flight and a 1 hour wait for luggage. I would however definately use UScar hire again.

Heavy pressure put on by Alamo rep in San Francisco to upgrade from intermediate SUV ordered to a big SUV In the end I succumbed to this pressure, which cost me another £160 in rental costs plus a lot of additional fuel. I know it is their job to push for more money, but they sometimes do it too well

Really pleased with the overall experience - price was was excellent as was the quality of the vehicle and the customer service delivered by US Car Hire . The only issue I have is the waiting time to pick up the vehicle at Alamo, O Farrell street - the 1 kiosk they had was switched off so we had to wait to see an agent - there was a huge queue which moved slowly - they tried to upsell on everything but I knew ( based on info provided by US Car Hire ) to refuse everything I would not hesitate to use US Car Hire again
