Only problem was I ordered a Mid Size SUV but none were available, I had to take a Full Size not much fun getting in and out when you are only five foot tall and have a bad ankle.

Ordering the car was an easy process, although I would like it to be clearer at the initial quote stage that Silver inclusive gives one additional driver included with Alamo. We tried to use the automatic screen at Sanford which took us 15 minutes and then we got a screen which simply directed us to the counter.... so much for saving time!By the way, I entered all the details correctly and had used the system last year at MCO. At the counter, we resisted the upselling by the representative , but I signed the agreement and then found that I had pre-paid for the fuel which I had not wanted to do and, I think there was a fee for doing this as well... but as we were tired from the delayed flight,we just accepted this as we just wanted to get to our cousins 'home. The car was fine and was a very low mileage car which we both enjoyed driving. Returning the car was simple and quick.

Great company to deal with, easy to book and you get what you want without any complicated web pages. All inclusive and we even got the car we hoped for. Brand new car too. We have booked through US Car Hire before and will always be our first choice.

the gentleman at the alamo desk appeared bored at his work. He didnt seem overly interested to be at work. However he was the best person who we have dealt with in our two bookings with US Car hire and Alamo. The rest of the staff we have spoke to at US Car Hire have been useless and insensitive.

Car was great, it was set up as 2+2 so the back seats could recline and had double arm rest so were very comfortable.

UK citizens could not use the kiosk, even though I was told I could and after entering all my details online. Told at the desk that fuel was much cheaper bought through Alamo and even told that fuel was $5 per gallon on the road, when it was actually $3.20. Do not trust Alamo when hiring a car, booked a SUV and got a 7 seater grand caravan, not ideal !!

Despite having pre-registered for "Save Time" when I used the kiosk, which took a considerable time, after completing all the required input the service was not available and I was the expected to join a queue of at least half an hour. There was a very limited choice of cars available. Although sounding like a small problem, the inside of the windscreen and the rear window were both covered in a film of "dirt" causing dangerous visibility problems when the sun hit the window. Also, there was no indication of the type of fuel to use, either from the desk assistant or in writing in the car. Accessing the building itself was a problem due to a very large number of people with luggage blocking every entrance & exit. Unlikely to use Alamo next time as the site is too far from arrivals area and is chaotic.

Great service. US Car Hire fixed a minor mistake I made to the booking without delay or complaint. Cheaper than going direct and got a free upgrade. What's not to love?

US Car Hire's booking process was straightforward and the price was competitive, so no issues there. Would use again. Also good was being able to bypass the Alamo booking desk (after using Alamo's Save Time facility following booking) when collecting the car at Orlando International. The only hiccup was that I was supposed to be able to select the car from the appropriate row, but where was that row? Far from clear when going to the pickup area. Ended up waiting for an Alamo rep, who duly arranged to have the car brought to me - can hardly complain about that. Car had 4,000 miles on the clock and was spotless but electric seat adjustment had me baffled for a few minutes! Drop off (at Tampa) was effortless but beware trying to find a gas station near the airport if you need to fill up before drop-off.

When we booked an SUV it showed a Jeep Cherokee, when we got to Alamo they had a small size SUV booked for us. This wasn't big enough for both passengers & luggage, where as a Jeep Cherokee would have been. This meant we had to pay for an upgrade in size @ $15 per day. Also we had to pay for an additional driver which I thought we already had in the origional booking, this was $10 per day. This meant that the deal we thought we had with you wasn't actually a 'good deal' at all!! I await your response Aimi Weaver

Totally smooth operation from start to finish. I'm just so sorry it's taken me so long to get around to doing this review. I emailed a few times with queries before I booked and after booking and they were always answered swiftly. There were no problems at all at any time and everyone we came into contact with was extremely polite and helpful. We were able to choose from several cars and were very happy with our choice. We also booked the GPS which was most helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending US Car Hire to anybody and have in fact already done so. Thank you so much for a hassle free experience.

I was very pleased with the overall package from US Car Hire and the price was very competitive. The only minor issues I had were with Alamo, being a very long queue at their Orlando Airport collection desk (despite registering online prior to departure I was unable to use their automated kiosks) and despite me saying I was happy with the size of the reserved vehicle / insurance coverage there was still some pressure to upgrade! If we visit Florida again I would definitely use US Car Hire and I would highly recommend you.
