Waste of time........ Preregistered with Alamo as always. Arrive at the desk and used the kiosk but right at the end the system would not let me complete the transaction. The women walking round offering help just laughed at me and stated that it does NOT work with UK licenses and offered no help at all. I asked her what to do and she said join the queue with everyone else. The queue then had double which them took 40 minutes extra to getto the front! Dthis is the last time I will use this serviceit was embarrassing for everyone

Excellent service from us car hire. We selected the Alamo kiosk option as recommended which saved queues and unwanted upgrades. We were able to select the vehicle of our choice easily and quickly. Speed and efficiency at collection and drop off were excellent.

Getting the quotes and choosing our package and car group was easy - as usual we always get a good set of competitive quotes across the car groups. The booking process was smooth and communication was excellent post booking - all very important as we often book a few days before rental commences. Knowing how busy the airport gets we did sign up to use Alamo's "Save Time" kiosks. On arrival we were pleased as the queues were very long at the desks, but unfortunately after 3 attempts the kiosk acknowleded and confirmed our booking but failed to deliver our paperwork - referring us to see an agent at the desk. We did receive help without queuing in the end and the issue was apparenetly that our (fairly new) driving licenses did not have barcodes for scanning - even though our details were confirmed as OK. Not so sure, but they sorted us out and at least soon after were on our way with a brand new and very appropriate car for our booking group - beware though as we were offered Nissan Jukes in the same class - these are inferior in size and performance. Overall very happy - the hiccup was a pain, but soon forgotten.

We recently hired a car from Alamo, we ended up having to upgrade the car as discovered a "mid-size" wouldn't be large enough for our luggage. The car we did get was spacious and clean. However after our first journey in the car we noticed the rear window wiper was missing - that really should be checked by staff before renting the vehicle out. Also we were very disapointed that we had to queue for almost an hour at the check-in desk to get our vehicle. We tried to do it at a self-service desk with a member of staff helping but were unable to do so. It was at 9am on a Tuesday, if this is a busy time then there really must be more staff on at that time.
