Our experience with Alamo from the service recieved picking up the car and on return was great. The car also was perfect for our needs. We hired from Alamo again in Maui.

US Car Hire's booking process was straightforward and the price was competitive, so no issues there. Would use again. Also good was being able to bypass the Alamo booking desk (after using Alamo's Save Time facility following booking) when collecting the car at Orlando International. The only hiccup was that I was supposed to be able to select the car from the appropriate row, but where was that row? Far from clear when going to the pickup area. Ended up waiting for an Alamo rep, who duly arranged to have the car brought to me - can hardly complain about that. Car had 4,000 miles on the clock and was spotless but electric seat adjustment had me baffled for a few minutes! Drop off (at Tampa) was effortless but beware trying to find a gas station near the airport if you need to fill up before drop-off.

There was a large queue at the airport desk, fotunately I had pre-registered to use the kiosk, however after enerting all of my details (10 mins)at the final step it said 'go to the desk' by which time the queue had grown much longer. Not a good start.

The US Car Hire site was great. Really easy to book and the Gold option gave me everything I needed and more. My only complaints are that I reserved a Standard SUV which was quoted as Jeep Grand Cherokee or equivalent but I got a Dodge Journey. The car itself was fine and I had no problems with it, but this is actually a Crossover. Also, the self service kiosks are a complete waste of time. I filled in all the information online ahead of the rental but when I arrived, I had to enter all the driving license info again manually and when I got to the end of the process, it told me to go to the desk anyway!! All in all though I would definitely use Alamo and US Car Hire again.

The only slight problem was that the rental kiosk failed on us after almost 10 minutes of inputting data. However, there was no queue at the desk so we got away quickly after that

i booked on line from England did fast track in Miami had elderly parents with us booked gps in the package but had job getting one! after long journey car packed leaving parking had to go back into terminal wait then be told sorry! It made a simple exercise hard!

Excellent online reservación process. A A to USCar Hire. But Alamo's sales personal were too much insistent about trying to sell me all kind of insurances, fuel, sun pass, etc. And that was exhausting.

A very disappointing experience with Alamo choosing them because they offered a quick check in process. I registered before leaving the UK to collect my car via this process - however this proved far from the case and on arrival was instructed (by a very rude lady) to join a long line of disgruntled travellers and waited for over an hour to collect my car whilst the receptionists tried to sell additional 'benefits' plus no option to return the car full of fuel which would have been my preference. This wasn't helped by a two hour flight delay and further immigration and baggage delays. The only praiseworthy part of the process was US Care Hire which was simple and I was very impressed with the way I was kept up to date on the International driving document debacle so apart from Alamo's very poor customer service thank you for your professional service
