No doubt this was an attempt to scare us in to upgrading. I get fed up of having to put up with this each time we go to the desk.

I know it is their job to push for more money, but they sometimes do it too well

We were immediately directed to a row of vehicles from which we could make our own selection. Drop off the vehicle was similarly fast and straightforward. First class service with Alamo which would not hesitate to use again.

Quick through admin at the airport and easy pick up. Drop off at LA very smooth and easy, good shuttle service both ways to the terminals. Car performed very well.

The only issue I have is the waiting time to pick up the vehicle at Alamo, O Farrell street - the 1 kiosk they had was switched off so we had to wait to see an agent - there was a huge queue which moved slowly - they tried to upsell on everything but I knew ( based on info provided by US Car Hire ) to refuse everything I would not hesitate to use US Car Hire again
