I paid an additional $117!! We hired a big van for 10 people but the rear seat would not fold down so there was no room for the luggage. The seat could be removed but Alamo refused to do this for us. We had so man handle 9 cases through the side door in to the back of the van. Van was in good condition and drove well.

Despite the offer to carry out registration at the self service desks at the car hire depot,these were not made available and we had to go through the manual process including further sales offers ! Being seasoned travellers we are used to this procedure. Thank you UScarhire

I had signed up for the self service booth, but no queue on arrival so went straight to the counter. Ability to choose your own car always leads to a few minutes of indecision whilst reviewing the models available. Glad we chose the Santa Fe as it had more room that the Jeep model we have normally. Chosen, and mpg much better. Only downside was no remote controlled central locking, and just had one key. Spending time looking at boot pace that we missed the obvious....
