However, the clerk was very persistent about selling insurances, upgrades and fuel charges, and it is strongly advertised here that we should not accept any offers, because we don´t need any of these. It even got to the point as clerk asking me if I would travel with the car or not, threatening that if anything happened to the car I would have serious problems for not buying so called upgrades. I´m deeply upset about this posture, as it is not standard whenever I used uscarhire service in other locations.

Had to get the manager to find the correct size vehicle for us though. Apart from that all went fairly smoothly.

Everyone was very helpful - we were offered an upgrade ( extra charge ) which we declined. For this second hire we had the car we had thought which was much better. We would certainly recommend US Car Hire and Alamo. The drop off at Los Angeles was extremely easy as was the transfer to the terminal.

The phrase " you will be sorry " was used several times . I could see people succumbing to the bully tactics after a long flight when they tired . My experience with uscarhire has been excellent with updated correspondence at regular intervals .
