Book a car at this location We are regular customers of US Car Hire and don't hesitate to recommend their excellent service. We only ordered a small car this time. On arrival at the Alamo pick up point at the airport there were no small or even intermediate cars available, so we were given a free upgrade. There were only 7 person people-carriers available. My husband was undaunted and regarded getting such a vehicle as a stroke of luck.

I got a good price. The problem is when you go to Alamo to pick it up. They did not let me use the kiosk. They insisted that the counter is faster than the kiosk. We know that is a lie. Then they told me that I needed a bigger car than the Dodge. Another lie. And this experience finished with the Alamo lady telling me " I can not with this people" . She was angry because I told her that I just wanted what I already paid with you.

That was a little time consuming, but I was still able to beat the queues! Car itself was well presented and tidy. Good.

The system would also appear to be unreliable as there was an agent present telling people to make sure they also had someone in line. I took me two attempts to get the kiosk to work and print out the necessary documents. Fortunately my wife had not got to the front of the line.

Go for gold insurance every time then you dont get any hassle at the counter. You also get to take the car back with an empty fuel tank if you wish. Usually you get an upgrade of car such as a mini van or chrysler 200.
