General experience was marvellous. Shuttle straight to Alamo, helpful staff and terrific car. It was very busy when we arrived and there weren't many cars left to choose from in the mid size section but we were given a new full size vehicle for same price. One thing that might be useful to others- had a problem using the self service booth, in that when I put in husband licence details it wouldn't complete, telling me I had to go to the desk. I thought this would mean joining the huge queue, which of course I was trying to bypass by using the self service. Ask for help as there are customer service people in the area helping with self service booths, or just go to the customer service section at the rear of the room- if you have all the completed forms they don't expect you to queue up and will sort things out quickly.

We had no problems at all with US Car Hire. The problem we constantly find is the delay picking up the car at the airport caused by the Alamo staff trying to upsell. We never upgrade to a bigger car or more insurance and appreciate the warning given by US car hire about this. However the delays caused by this upselling are very annoying. Is there anything that can be done about this?

Straight forward pick up and drop off. Choice of vehicles wasn't great but our flight was delayed so I guess a lot of cars had already gone Pointed out a couple of marks to the agent in the garage on pick up but they didn't seem concerned. Pleased with the car though could have done with a handbook for the sound system, took a bit of figuring out

Used the kiosk at Miami Airport which was manned but no one explained about the automatic tolls so kept looking for the booths for the first couple of days. Still awaiting the items on my credit card to confirm cost of the tolls and administration fees
