How to tackle Walmart for first timers? well if you have not been in one before Walmart are the giant stores that are much more than just a food shop.
First of all select a Super Walmart that have the widest stock (there is one on the 192 and 2 on the 27) Then allow enough time to look round properly.
I would leave the food shopping til last or almost certainly your frozen foods will be defrosting and your ice cream a puddle.
Select your trolley and enter the store; you will get a friendly greeting from your doorman/lady.
Then I would start at the far end and work back. There is a large pharmacy section with a bewildering array of medicines. It seems an odd thing to take back home with you but a lot of thinks like aspirin and so on are much cheaper here. Look for the Walmart own brand which is called Equate.
Toiletries are in the pharmacy and the same goes here as well; lots of familiar brands that seem to cost dollar on pound.
If anyone in your family intends to go fishing then they will need a license and you can get them here (larger branches)
The comforter sets are worth looking at and there is a good stylish range that is reasonably priced but the young ones will probably be straining at the bit to check out the technology section. Remind them that our Electric is a different system and the games will not easily work in another area.
This is your cue to leave them behind and look at the clothes. This is a large area with clothes for all the family (and shoes as well)The prices are low anyway but if you keep your eyes skinned some of the stock will be reduced.
There is a jewellry section and also lots of toys and out door equipment. I would say whatever is on you shopping list try out Walmart first.
Now is the time to gather everyone together to do the food shopping; if you are feeling lazy you can pick up cooked chicken and pork etc at the hot counter (in fact the whole meal if you wish)
Or alternatively if you feel like making no effort at all there will be somewhere you can sit down and buy a satifying meal.
As you leave the store you may be asked to produce a receipt and you shopping checked; do not be upset if this happens; they have to counter the shoplifters and the more they catch the less our prices will rise.
