Day 2

MAGIC KINGDOM !
We all decided for our first day we would visit the magic Kingdom, as jus looking up main street to Cinderella castle is just an awesome sight! It is just a perfect start to what is going to b e a perfect holiday for us girls!
We have breakfast and get ready for the day ahead, the girls are excited and chatting about what rides they want to go on.
We park up the car in the HUGE acrpark and hop on the mini train which takes us to the entrance. REMEMBER where you park your car!

On entering the park we need to choose how to approach the Magic kingdom, by monorail, or by the huge paddle steamer, and as the steamer is about to leave, we go on board and the journey begins. The steamer takes a steady pace across the lake, and we stand on the deck, the warm Florida breeze in our hair…. . magical!

We enter the park and pick up a leaflet to inform us of what time the shows are, and what time the parades and fireworks start. We stand a few minutes drinking in the view of the castle, and take a few snapshots to seal the memories.

Let the fun begin! Our first stop was Tomorrowland. Two of us wanted to go on “Space Mountain” but the youngest and I opted out, so we rode on the transit authority, which is a monorail/glide around the Tomorrowland attractions. Space mountain is a fast indoor rollercoaster ride, mainly in the dark!
Buzz lightyear’s space ranger spin was next, followed by Stitches great escape, in which I was glad to have a sit and rest! We gave the astro orbiters a miss and moved through the park and mickeys toontown fair to “fantasyland”

The girls were excited by Cinderellas golden carrousel, so we all chose our beautiful horse and galloped around to the music. Next was peter pans flight…. we were a bit old for this ride, but have always loved it, so we rode and enjoyed it.

Time for ice cream……chocolate covered ice cream shaped like Mickey Mouse, mmmm yummy!

We walk on and reach Liberty sqare, and marvel at the huge riverboat while we eat our ice cream. . The haunted mansion is next, and we are ushered into the entrance by a wide eyed maid…. . ready for the amazing ghostly ride that we all loved. Just amazing!

Spash mountain came next, then thunder mountain railroad, an awesome fast ride!

Time for the parade…. We watched as all the famous Disney characters passed by, among them the dancers whirling and twirling to the music and waving to the children as they dance by. A fantastic sight…. . the girls were waving and the look on their faces was not to be missed!

The girls were hungry so we ate taco salads and nachos at the food counter opposite the pirates of the Caribbean, at Adventureland. This is a favourite ride and as you wind your way through the caves to the pirate ship you see jack Sparrow and the pirates! The gift shop as you exit holds all sorts of treasures! Next is the jungle cruise, a relaxing ride on a riverboat.

We are all tired when it is time for the fireworks, but oh my…. they just make the hair stand up on the back of your neck and sent shivers down your spine! It is just an amazing atmosphere………
