The Chinese pavillion at Epcot is one of the most brightly coloured of all the countries represented around Showcase lagoon and one of the most detailed.
The Gate of the Golden Sun is the main entrance and the style is based on the gate of Beijing' s Summer Palace. Right in front of you as you enter is the ornately decorated Temple of Heaven which is a half scale reproduction of the original temple located near Beijing. The brightly coloured interior of the temple has many significant facts to the people of China and symbolizes the Chinese Universe. The 12 outer columns represent the months of the year, the four inner columns represent the 4 seasons and they in turn support a beam representing Earth and finally the round beam above represents Heaven.
The circular room is astounding in its' design and is acoustically perfect - stand in the center, say something out loud and you will hear yourself speak!
The landscape inside China is traditionally peaceful and serene and contains the one essential ingredients in every Chinese garden - water. The still pond gently reflects the beautiful architecture surrounding it and the trees and plants are native to China.
For character greetings, Mulan and Mushu can be found throughout the day.

Reflections of China is a 13 minute Circle-Vision 360 degree film presentation that takes you on a fascinating exploration of this beautiful nation. Take a trip through inner Mongolia to the Forbidden City and visit the Great Wall of China. Head into the modern cities of Shanghai and Hong Kong and take a trip through through the history of this fascinating country. Nine cameras were used to capture the cultures and images of China over several months, during which time 7 cities were filmed.
The Dragon Legend Acrobats defy gravity during their 20 minute show with their display of agility, balance and strength. The graceful and skilled young performers fly through hoops, form human pyramids, contort in various shapes and will amaze all ages with their flexibility and endurance.
Si Xian - folk music played on the 25 string traditional instrument performed inside the Temple of Heaven.
The Land of Many Faces is an exhibit of ancient Chinese artifacts and paintings that introduces visitors to the various ethnic faces of China.
Tomb Warriors: Guardian Spirits of Ancient China, is a fascinating collection of miniature replicas of the Terracotta Army housed in the Gallery of the Whispering Willow. Take a close look, the faces of the warriors are all different and some archaeologists believe the figures were modeled on real soldiers.

The aroma of Chinese cuisine wafting from the eateries will tempt the taste buds of the most seasoned of dieters!
The Nine Dragons is an acclaimed table service restaurant offering Cantonese, Szechuan, Kiangche and Mandarin cuisine set in a bright and colourful contemporary Asian dining room.
Lotus Cafe is a counter service restaurant offering an array of delicious Chinese cuisine.
The Joy of Tea offers a selection of hot and cold beverages and snacks.

There is plenty of shopping to be done in China and the stores here have a huge selection of ornaments, Chinese lanterns, Chinese rugs, Chinese proverbs and much more for you to explore along the The Street of Good Fortune.
