American Police Hall of Fame and Museum is situated in Titusville on Florida' s Atlantic coast. If you have been to see a rocket launch you may well have been to Titusville since there is an ideal viewing site on Titusville Beach.
Here you will see 7000 names carved in to marble; this is to honour the police personnel that have died while in the line of duty. You will find this in The Rotunda area.
Inside the museum they show you how criminals can carve a knife out of dental putty and rather improbably a gun out of a push bike spokes.
They also tell you how to gather evidence at a crime scene and there is also a shooting range (I must confess that I have a problem with that)
All in all there are 10000 exhibits to view at this museum including an impressive array of police badges.
You can also take a helicopter ride at extra cost. This is always the perfect way to get a bird' s eye view of an area.
This museum is open from 12 noon to 8 p. m. tuesday to friday and 12 noon to 6. p. m. at the weekends. Entrance costs £12 per person.

F. I. T Botanical Gardennique displays tropical foliage including palms and ferns. This is viewed from a mile long walking trail that includes The Little Red School House that was built in 1883. I love old American school houses that are so in contrast to the huge school buildings of modern times.
The soil here is exceptionally rich making it a perfect base for the lush planting. There are now over 2000 plants here some of them so rare you are unlikely to have come across them before
All this verdant planting is a perfect host to a multitude of wild life including raccoons, birds of prey, frogs, turtles and of course the odd snake.
They are currently extending the walking trail which will lead to the expansion that will make these gardens the best of their kind in the U. S. A. Keen gardeners will be in raptures here but no gardeners will also enjoy the tranquil beauty.
F. I. T. Botanical Gardenique is open from dawn to dusk and is situted on the out skirts of The Florida Institute of Technology.
