Voulgareli – It is a Byzantine monument of particular importance, and an excellent example of Byzantine art, dedicated to the Birth of the Virgin. The monastery was founded in 1281.
While in Voulgareli, it is also worth a visit to the monastery of St. George, which is located ten minutes north of the village. It was founded in 1714 and during the period of Ottoman domination and was an important religious and cultural centre, having often protected the local population by offering them shelter.
Shelter at Pramanta – The shelter is situated in an amazing plateau with great views and has a theatre in summer.
C. Polyzou – The sculptor C. Polyzos has designed and built 17 ancient Greek musical instruments as well as ancient Greek jewellery which you can see in a workshop and museum.
Take the road from Pramanta to Ioannina, we have can leave the route for 5 minutes to visit the village of the Greek Monastery Tsouka and Museum Theo Papagianni. The view from the monastery, which is built on the edge of the ravine of Arachthos, is more than enchanting. The monastery, which is built on the hill in an evocative natural environment is dedicated to the Birth of the Virgin. The Theodore Papagianni Museum is a unique area for the sculpture museum, on the site of which reflect the factors that determined the history of Epirus on the relationship between man and this place. Through his works, the sculptor invites the visitor to see with his eyes and sensed the place of Epirus, talking about an everyday century and recounting stories of basic food, bread, and the people of that place. Emigrants, and spiritual benefactors, craftsmen, farmers and farmers in Epirus and of course the female figure, her mother.
There are many different routes you can take which will depend on the amount of time you have and the places you want to see.
