Florida - The Sunshine State.
The amount of entertainment in Florida, Orlando, is unbelievable. It ranges from the every-day places like restaurants and bars to the fun-full adventure parks such as Universal Studios.
If you're going to stay on Emerald Island Resort, you have a stretch of the West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway very close by which is filled with amazing restaurants, shops and even entertainment like Mini Golf.
In this area you are only a couple of miles away from Florida' s main tourist attractions; Universal Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, SeaWorld, Wet 'n' Wild and Aquatica (SeaWorld' s water park)
In the past I have visited all of these attractions, and I was never disappointed. They have child friendly rides as well as rides for teenagers and adults, for example, the Cat In The Hat ride at universal studios, which I enjoyed even up to my teenage years. ! When I was older I got more confident with roller-coasters and I ventured into the big ones, such as Kraken and Manta in SeaWorld, both are extremely thrilling to go on.
SeaWorld is not just for thrill seekers, but also people looking for a nice day out. They have plenty of entertaining shows like the Shamu ' One Ocean' show, that was always a highlight whenever I went to Florida.
Other great shows at SeaWorld include the seal and Otter show 'Clyde and Seamore' which never failed to make me laugh, and the Dolphin shows were a must watch also.
Universal Studios & Universal Islands of adventure is an amazing place to visit if you have children or are interested in getting a bit of an adrenaline rush, and the rides there will blow your mind. !
One ride that I remember most is The Incredible Hulk, which is a high-speed coaster ride, it shoots you out at the start at high speed and straight away you' re going into a barrel roll, a definite must ride if you' re a thrill seeker.
If you have children with you then you should go on the Men In Black simulation ride, which takes you around a city during an alien takeover and you have to shoot the aliens as you get taken round, it gets a bit dizzy at some points. There are many more amazing rides at the two sister parks, but theare two mentioned are my favourites.
Magic Kingdom and Epcot are places of wonder for young children. The Disney parks will take you' re breath away with thrills and excitement as well as education in Epcot.
Both water parks, Aquatics and Wet ' n' Wild are fantastic for a day out. They have some of the best water rides around, such as ' the black hole' in Wet ' n' Wild. Both have wave pools for adults and there is a shallow end for the children as well.
Over all, Florida is a fantastic place to visit for all ages and life styles, you will not regret visiting the 'Sunshine State' .
