Beds Baths and Beyond is a brilliant name for a most fascinating store. An absolute Aladdins Cave for keen shoppers.
As soon as you go through the door your nose is assailed by the most wonderful scent. The source of the fragrance is soon evident when you spot the scented candles. Can' t resist a scented candle myself (and candlelight is so flattering when you reach a certain age! )
In this area is also where they have heaps of gadgets (or in other words stuff you did not know you needed) this merits a good half hour of rifling through the innovations.
Now we start to explore the rest of the store; always starting on the right hand side (why the right hand side I have no idea; we just do)
The first goodies to be found are in the bathroom shop; heaps of towels and loads of bathroom accesories. If you cannot find that elusive colour here, where will you. And the toothbrush holders are always unique.
Then the bath stuff gives way to the bedding; there are always inspirational beds made up in the latest look and crisp sheets in every colourway.
In this area are the curtains (or drapes as they like to call them) They do have a made to order service here.
Now we have completed half the store and the bedding leads you to the homeware and then to electronics; we spotted good battery toothbrushes here at a good price.
Last time we wentto Beds they also had vibrating chairs to try out. We gave them a very thorough testing!
Now we are back at the till area and there are often tmpting cookies and sweets. Try to get the little ones through without buying anything. I find the staff are always pleasant and helpful so the whole experience is a good one.
I always tell my guests to take all their window, table and bed measurements with them to Florida because household linens are a great thing to take back with you.
One small word of warning; they are not the cheapest store on the block and I have often spotted something I have bought at Beds much cheaper elsewhere so keep your wits about you. Also look for the special offers.
There are Beds Baths and Beyond all over your villa area but the nearest are likely to be, John Young Parkway, Florida Mall, International Drive and Winter Garden.
