Very impressed. Choosing a car was extremely easy at MCO. Alamo had a wide range of models and colours. Booking the car was so easy too through this site. Would highly recommend. I chose the young drivers package as I'm only 21. This saved my hundreds of pounds.

we have used us car hire before and have found it to be very good as if you pay for everything up front there is no hold ups at airport pick up or drop off and with no extras to pay thankyou for a trouble free rental

Though I had registered online to pick up a vehicle via the kiosks to save time, it did not work for me which was disappointing. The guys on the Alamo desks were helpful and the overall experience was acceptable.

We have been booking cars with you for eight years now, sometimes as much as once a month, we have allways enjoyed the relationship with your staff at Chattanooga, the cars have always been of a great standard especially as we always book "GOLD STANDARD" online, we always pre - pay online & that includes the car to have a full tank of gas on arrival & bringing the car back to Chattanooga empty, a policy well understood by all of your staff until now. We collected the car as usual & set off on our journey, but having travelled for about 10 - 15 miles I realised that the car had only 1/2 tank of gas , I should have turned around then & gone all the way back to the airport to complain then , but we were tired after 17 hours of travel & as we have never had the problem before I thought I would deal with it on my return. When we returned the car to you , I told the young lady of the problem, not only was she unable to comprehend the problem ( she thought we got the 1/2 tank free, not that we should have had a full tank of gas & only got 1/2 tank ) but she was downright rude about it, we spent nearly 15 minutes trying to explain the problem , if you pre book & pay for gold fuel policy for a full tank of gas you expect a full tank not 1/2 a tank, we realised that our check in desk for the flight home was closing so could not stand there all day with this rude individual, who just smirked when we had to go for our flight, Bad experience this time will make us think who we will book with in future, we are out of pocket by $25.00 as we had to re - fuel & do not like the unhelpfull nature of the new staff, who didn't try at all to understand/resolve the problem. Would like my $25.00 back please.

The US Car Hire site was great. Really easy to book and the Gold option gave me everything I needed and more. My only complaints are that I reserved a Standard SUV which was quoted as Jeep Grand Cherokee or equivalent but I got a Dodge Journey. The car itself was fine and I had no problems with it, but this is actually a Crossover. Also, the self service kiosks are a complete waste of time. I filled in all the information online ahead of the rental but when I arrived, I had to enter all the driving license info again manually and when I got to the end of the process, it told me to go to the desk anyway!! All in all though I would definitely use Alamo and US Car Hire again.

Everything went well. Except for the Alamo-Kiosk. We did all the efforts before our trip in order to be able to get our car more quickly via this Kiosk. But altough we already had given all info before, we had to go trough all steps again and finally the last step 'please see one of our co-workers'. Than we had to wait in lign, altough I explained and we were with two childeren. They would nog let us pass. But everything else went fine. Maybe a tip for Forida, to give some more information on the fast lane/sunpass?

Just back from Orlando on 30 March 2013. Having registered to use the Alamo kiosk at Orlando, to save time, it didn't work and an Alamo rep said "it didn't always work with UK licenses", so get back in the queue. I thought I could assume that as I had booked a standard SUV in Aug 2012 a vehicle, if not a choice of in that class would be reserved for me but at the desk, we were not offered anything in that class. "We can give you an upgrade for $10/day?" Having fallen for the upgrade con at $10/day the guy at the desk obviously thought he could push it up to a Premium class without telling me. Hence $20.99/day for 21 days - $440.79. Then add to that an airport access fee of $53.05 and sales tax at $37.93. Surely these charges are included in the original booking fee which ever vehicle is taken? No, different vehicle/upgrade, charges are applied again. Consequently I had a total additional charge on my credit card of $524.93.(£347.56) I know it is not uscarhire's fault, I have always been impressed with the service and help given me by the UK team for the last 3 times I have used USCar Hire and I will continue to do so but I have serious concerns about Alamo as I already have a booking for a vehicle at Toronto in June this year with them.
