Cirque du Soleil - Orlando / Florida Guide

Florida Guide > Night Life

This is an expensive evening out and we had visited our villa in Orlando for several years before we went to see a performance.

Cirque Du Soleil is located in Downtown Disney’ s West Side. From Downtown Orlando take I-4 West to exit 68 Lake Buena Vista. Turn right off the exit and then your first left heading towards the Disney Marketplace. Follow to the end and turn left at the light. Turn right into the 4th parking entrance for the AMC/Downtown Disney. Cirque Du Soleil is on the far left corner of Downtown Disney next to House of Blues & Disney Quest.

It is a tall white building you really cannot miss it, it seats nearly 1700 people. This is a huge car park and no matter how busy it is here we have always managed to park. However should you prefer Valet parking is also available although I do not know the cost of this.

Performances are held from Tuesday through Saturday at 6 p. m. and 9 p. m. There are no performances on Sundays and Mondays.

There are four categories of pricing ranging from the best seats at approx Adults $120+ Children (aged 3 – 9) $97+ to Adults $70 Children $56.

It is recommended you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the show. If you are not in your seat 10 minutes prior to a show, apparently they will sell your seat although I have never spoken to anyone this has happened to! Tickets bought 8 days or sooner before a performance can be picked up at the Will Call Window, so make sure to add time to the 30 minutes prior if you have to collect these tickets.

La Nouba originates from the French expression " faire la Nouba, " which means " to party, to live it up. " La Nouba transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, engaging the imagination from beginning to end. You watch mind blowing high wire and flying trapeze, stunning acro-gymnastic performances and other fantastic displays of coordination and strength.

It features more than 70 artists from around the world, including gymnasts, acrobats, dancers and clowns. The costumes are extraordinary, the sets surreal and the choreography amazing in this show that last 90 minutes.

There were plenty of children in the audience ranging from toddlers to teenagers. When we went our girls were quite young and I was worried that this might be boring to them. I need not have worried we had the quietest 90 minutes of the holiday with them transfixed with the show particularly the clowns.

Though quite expensive it is a wonderful evening out for the whole family.
