I had absolutely no problem with my dealings with US Car hire, they were excellent. My only problem was on arrival. I have been traveling to Florida for over 20 years and I'm finding the rental companies are getting very aggressive with their sales pitch more recently, trying to sell you all of their products which is ok unless you are a tired first time traveller. They are quite deceptive how they put things over. I asked if the car had a sun pass to travel through the tolls. I was informed it wouldn't be a problem as it had one but it could still be sorted later with a small admin fee. Having fallen foul of this with Dollar where I incurred a few dollars in tolls but over 100 dollars in "admin" fees" I queried this only to be told "oh in that case don't use it or go through the tolls". The car I had did NOT in fact have a sun pass on examination! They were also reluctant to accept the extra insurance I bought on this site for flat tyres, damaged windscreen etc, trying VERY hard to sell me theirs which was exactly the same which I declined. As long as you accept the rental companies in the US ARE out to screw you, the staff are on HUGE commissions and have the morals of a British bank, you'll be fine.

At MIA, I went to the Alamo kiosk and was really disappointed at being asked over and over the same questions (electronically). The kiosk actually took longer than the face to face rental the next day in GSO. The MIA 'lobby' attendant was friendly and helpful, even apologetic. The car, facility and return were all fine, only the kiosk repetitiveness was lousy.

We couldn't believe how easy hiring a car was through USCarHire. After logging our details online with Alamo before our trip, there were no long queues to negotiate at LAX that we had experienced on previous trips, which after a long flight is the last thing you need. We experienced no hitches whatsoever and even ended up with a slightly larger SUV than we had paid for. We would definitely recommend USCarHire and their system to ensure a great start to your holiday.

Overall experience from online booking in the UK to collection at Orlando Airport was great. The only comment I have is the fact I can't seperate the 2 keys. If you misplace them your in trouble. 2 drivers, 2 keys but they are together. Have used US car hire for a few years now & will continue to use them :)

excellent service ,alamo have great staff very friendly and not at all pushy . I ususaly go to spain ( malaga ) for my holidays where car rental is a nightmare and you get ripped off with insurance and fuel , not so with this company . I would highly reccommend us car hire . on arrival we used the quick keosks and were in our mustang with in 5 minutes , late in the holiday we exchanged our mustang for a camaro which was excellent , the change was only a mater of the staff scanning a bar code . very quick and easy . over all i would not hessisate to use this company again .
