So much choice – so little time! Florida really is a shopper’s paradise.
There is a huge variety from shopping Malls to Outlet Centres to small strips of shops as well as the numerous souvenir shops – no one should be short of a Disney T-shirt.
Shopping Complexes usually have a Supermarket a Drug store such as Walgreens or CVS and often a store like K Mart or Bells. Be sure to look in Sunday’s local newspapers for the coming weeks sales and bargains particularly for the Drug and Department stores someone always seems to be having a sale.
You will find plenty of Walmart stores in Florida many of them open 24 hours a day. If you want to shop on line before you go you can do so using their “site to store” facility. You just order and pay for the goods on line and then pick then up from your designated Walmart when you get to Florida.
The Florida Mall with its huge car park is very popular with visitors. However be sure to remember where you parked your car and which entrance to the Mall you used. To save confusion we usually park by JC Penneys so that we can remember the car’s location.
In the Mall as well as a variety of clothes and sports wear shops there are the usual department stores Dillards, Sears and Penneys as well as the popular Abercrombie and Fitch and Old Navy. In the centre there is a huge Food Court. After about an hour my Father usually goes for a coffee there taking the shopping with him. We then use this as our base and at various times return to him for either a drink, something to eat or just to drop off more shopping. Fortunately he is a very patient man and loves to people watch.
If you intend to make a lot of purchases at J C Penneys and you have access to a computer and printer initially just buy a small item. With the receipt you can then fill in a survey on line and print a voucher to give you discount (I believe it is 15%) off your next purchases, this can represent a good saving.
If you want to use the internet whilst in the Florida Mall just go to the Apple Store they will be only too pleased for you to do so. Make sure you visit the Disney Store they often have very good sales.
