Hints and tips in the Disney area.
To save on parking at the Walt Disney world parks why not park your car at Downtown Disney, outside Planet Hollywood. Then catch the Disney transport to the park of your choice . It is as quick as parking at the Parks then taking transport from the car to the entrance, this way the Disney transport takes you direct to the park
Another money saving tip is at the Backlot Express restaurant at Hollywood Studios you get free drink refills which you don’t at other restaurants
When going to the parks with Kids we have often found a good idea to take a backpack and fill it with snacks and drinks as it is expensive for snacks then when you leave just call at a local restaurant for a good dinner
Another good tip we were told about was to book a table at Cinderella’s table for lunch but make the reservation for a late lunch say about 2. 00pm to 2. 15pm this is a quieter time( many of the foods on the lunch menu are on the dinner menu) but cheaper. You can then nip out to watch the parade
Its always a good idea to go to the park when it first opens the longer lines start around 11am, so by getting there about 9am you get a good couple of hours before the crowds then get a hand stamp leave the park go back to our vacation villa for a swim and maybe some lunch then go back to the parks at night to see the fireworks and you will find that the lines are also a little less busy at night
Another tip one of our guests recommended to do was to save a Disney ticket for the last day .
They said they had packed up their things the last night then on the last day they had booked a character breakfast, took the kids then had a last few hours at the park, they said it was such a memorable last memory for the kids they have not stopped talking about it
Then went to the airport directly from Disney
Another activity that the kids enjoy but is quite inexpensive is a round of crazy golf. There are many locations that have this. There are several on Highway 192
There are some in Disney
We have tried the Fantasia Gardens, near Disney' s Hollywood Studios
