I must admit this is one of my favourite parts of Universal Studios. I suspect it might just be the kid in me because my Mother bought me all these books when I was quite young.
It really is a great place for the young ones to relax and enjoy the water, the rides as well as to eat and invariably buy something in the stores.
The whole theme of this part of the Park is very bright colours and it tends to be quite a sun trap so make sure everyone has plenty of sunscreen. We usually buy small handbags size sunscreen that are quite readily available at Walgreens or Walmart.
The little ones love the High in the Sky Trolley Train although you sometimes have to wait a while for this as the day gets busier. Be sure not to miss it as it gives you a real bird’s eye view of Seuss Landing. There are two rides to choose from so you need to do both is you want to see all of Seuss. It goes over the rooftops and through Circus McGurkus Café Stoopendous and you can see the people eating below.
The girls old as they are now still love going on the Caro-Seuss-el which is enjoyed by parents and children alike, very small children can sit with their parents.
The Green Eggs and Ham Café is popular with lots of visitors and you can eat your burgers outside either overlooking the water or in the shade under one of the umbrellas or the large shades to protect you from the sun.
If you prefer to eat inside go to Mc Gurkas Café Stoopendous where as well as the Sky Train you will see acrobats performing overhead. Here you have a choice of Fried Chicken, Spaghetti, Pizza as well as Burgers.
If you decide to go on the Cat in the Hat attraction do not go soon after eating as this spins around quite a lot. All children can go on this ride but those less than 48 inches high must be accompanied by and adult. You journey through the books with the Cat while Thing 1 and Thing 2 cause chaos.
If the children like Dumbo at Magic Kingdom they will love One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. They sit in either a red fish or a blue fish and can make the fish go up or down while they try to avoid the water that is squirted at them.
Before you leave Seuss Landing be sure to visit both the Candy Store and the Street Store which sells gadgets and goodies.
