Review on Rainforest Café, Florida

On the 15th of December 2011, I visited the Rainforest Café in Downtown Disney as it was my birthday.

When I walked into the restaurant my eyes were excited with the sights that were in the restaurant. All around the restaurant there were vines and branches with leaves that were hanging from the ceiling. In the centre of the room there was a platform/stage where there were animatronic animals such as a mother and baby elephant, giraffe, and hanging on a vine was a monkey. These were very lifelike and were making their own animal noises. All around there were huge fish tanks with the most exotic fish I had ever seen. There were water falls behind your seats that made you feel like you really were in the rainforest.

In the meantime a very smiley waitress took us to our table and gave our menus. On the menu there were a big selection of meals that took my fancy but I chose chicken parmigiana. The meal prices were reasonable enough as you are paying for the experience as well as the food. Also there was an equally large selection of drinks that were refillable.

Every so often the lights darkened and the ceiling went like a night’s sky and then hidden speakers started making the sounds of a storm. Behind our bench seat the water features were going faster. It was the most extraordinary experience I had ever been in.

When we had ordered our food I went to the toilets. These were very clean and to the same theme as the restaurant.

After about 25-30 minutes reasonable waiting time our meal came. The plate was huge and on it was massive piece of good thick chicken covered In breadcrumbs with a generous coating of a tomato and basil sauce that had big pieces of fresh tomatoes in it. On the side was a portion of seasoned chips and a colourful fresh side salad.
The food was mouth-watering and delicious and made me very full after eating it.

When we had finished the cheery waitress cleared away our plates and asked us if we had enjoyed our meal.

We asked for the bill and it was quite a reasonable price for a birthday meal out with an experience I will never forget.

Over all the Rainforest Café is a picturesque, clean and a amazing experience with a happy, fun atmosphere. I would give it 10/10 for cleanliness, food and overall experience. I would recommend it to families especially or a nice treat for a meal out.
